When a meteorite collides with a small town, the local sheriff is soon fighting off millions of slimy slug monsters from outer space. An unashamed tribute to the eye-popping gore of 80s horror films this entertaining horror requires a very strong stomach (95 mins)

WILDERNESS (18)

When a group of young offenders are sent away to a military boot camp on a remote and supposedly uninhabited island, they are taught a lesson that they will never forget. On the island, a stark – raving mad psychopath lies in wait. Trained and equipped like an experienced hunter, the killer kills his victims using deadly booby-traps and ravenous dogs. Tense and exciting (93 mins)

HOSTEL (18)

Controversial and gruesome 2005 account (based on true events) of the terrors that can await us behind closed doors. When two American backpackers are enticed to visit a hostel in Slovakia supposedly filled with beautiful women, the opportunity is too good to miss. However this hostel hides a terrible and dark secret. Director Eli Roth pushes the boundaries of taste in this cold blooded  gorefest (94 mins)
